The issue is clear: HIV cases are rising, and awareness alone isn’t enough—people need updated knowledge, real conversations, and practical understanding. That’s exactly what this initiative aimed to address.
With the country facing a growing number of HIV cases, Perpetual Help Medical Center – Las Piñas took a proactive step by organizing a timely and relevant talk designed to shift perspectives and strengthen awareness around HIV and AIDS.
The session featured Dr. Diane Marie S. Dizon-Amii, an Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease specialist, who delivered an insightful and informative discussion on the topic “Hope in Transition: Transforming the Fight Against HIV/AIDS.” The talk was thoughtfully moderated by Dr. Diana Gonzaga Ramos, Chairman of the HIV and AIDS Core Team (HACT), ensuring a well-guided and engaging flow of conversation.
Held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Lobby of the Administration Building, the event brought together healthcare professionals, staff, and participants eager to deepen their understanding of HIV—from prevention and early detection to treatment advancements and the importance of reducing stigma.
More than just a lecture, the session encouraged open dialogue and emphasized a message of hope. Attendees walked away not only with updated medical knowledge but also with a stronger appreciation of the role compassion, education, and community support play in addressing HIV.
The strong turnout and active participation reflected a shared commitment to building a more informed, inclusive, and responsive healthcare environment—one that continues to stand at the forefront of the fight against HIV/AIDS.
