Gynecological Oncology is a medical specialty that focuses on diagnosing and treating cancers of the female reproductive system. This includes cancers of the ovaries, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva, as well as certain rare pregnancy-related tumors. Gynecological oncologists are doctors who first train in obstetrics and gynecology, then undergo additional specialized training to care for women with these types of cancers.

Hematology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the blood and the organs that make it. It covers care for both adults and children. Adult hematology deals with blood and bone marrow disorders in grown-ups, while pediatric hematology focuses on diagnosing and treating blood diseases in children, recognizing that children have different needs from adults when it comes to their blood health.

Palliative and Hospice care both aim to improve comfort and quality of life for people with cancer, but they are provided at different stages. Palliative care can be given at any point during a serious illness, even while the patient is still receiving treatments to cure or control the disease. Hospice care, on the other hand, is for the final stage of life, when treatments are no longer working and the focus is on comfort and support.

Rheumatology is the branch of medicine that deals with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases affecting the joints, muscles, and bones. In cancer care, rheumatology can be important because some autoimmune diseases may increase the risk of certain cancers, while cancer or its treatments can sometimes trigger rheumatic conditions. Certain cancer treatments, like immunotherapy, may also cause side effects that mimic autoimmune diseases. Rheumatologists help by assessing cancer risk in patients with rheumatic conditions and managing joint, muscle, or immune-related problems that may arise during cancer treatment.

Continuity of care in cancer treatment means making sure a patient’s care is smooth, coordinated, and consistent—whether in the hospital, at home, or in another setting. This approach helps ensure that all healthcare providers work together to meet both the medical and emotional needs of the patient. Extending care to the home can make a big difference, with services such as nursing visits, physical therapy, and even doctor’s appointments helping patients stay comfortable and supported while continuing their treatment.

Medical Oncology is the branch of cancer care that focuses on treating cancer with medicines, such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. It is one of the three main areas of oncology, along with surgery and radiation therapy. Medical oncologists are specialists who diagnose cancer, create personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing care and support throughout the patient’s cancer journey.

The Ostomy Care Clinic provides specialized support for people living with a stoma, a surgically created opening that allows waste to leave the body. Care involves keeping the stoma and the surrounding skin healthy, as well as managing the ostomy pouch system. This includes regular cleaning, timely pouch changes, and addressing any concerns such as skin irritation or leakage. The clinic’s trained staff offer guidance, education, and hands-on assistance to help patients feel confident and comfortable in their daily lives.

Rehabilitation Medicine for cancer patients helps people recover strength, movement, and independence after a cancer diagnosis or treatment. It also focuses on managing pain and improving overall quality of life. Using a team approach, rehabilitation addresses not only physical needs but also the emotional and social challenges that cancer survivors may face, helping them return to daily activities with greater confidence and comfort.

  • Creation of Brace for Patients with Bone Metastasis

A Radiation Oncology Center focuses on treating cancer with radiation therapy, also called radiotherapy. This treatment uses high-energy rays to target and destroy cancer cells. It can be used as the main treatment or to help relieve symptoms in more advanced stages of cancer. These centers have advanced equipment, such as linear accelerators, brachytherapy machines, and CT scanners, to carefully plan and deliver precise treatments that protect healthy tissue while fighting the cancer.
