Acute Stroke Intervention Treatment Package

A stroke can happen at any time. The more time passes without seeking medical treatment, the more irreversible damages happen. It is CRUCIAL that you contact emergency services within 1 hour after symptoms begin. Here are a few key symptoms of a stroke that you should look out for:
  • Face: Ask them to smile. Does one side of their face droop down?
  • Arms: Ask them to raise both arms. Does one drop down?
  • Speech: Ask them to say a short phrase. Are they slurring or incomprehensible?
  • Time: If the answers to all of these questions are yes, take note of the time the symptoms started and immediately call emergency services.
If you see someone showing symptoms of a stroke, immediately contact the Perpetual Help Medical Center – Las Piñas’ Stroke Services Unit at 874-ALTA/874-8515.
