Laparoscopic Appendectomy

Laparoscopic appendectomy is a minimally invasive surgery to remove the appendix, usually when it becomes inflamed or infectedβ€”a condition called appendicitis. Instead of making one large cut, the surgeon makes a few small incisions in the abdomen and uses a tiny camera to see inside and guide the surgery. This method often causes less pain, leaves smaller scars, and allows for a quicker recovery compared to traditional open surgery. Most patients can go home within a day and return to normal activities in about a week.
